Grand Valley State dropped a 5-1 decision to Ferris State in the Great Lakes Regional Championship match held in Big Rapids, Mich. on Friday. The Lakers end their season with a 22-8 overall record.

Ferris State won all three doubles matches and two out of three in singles action to pick up the win. Marissa Muchow and Leila Salek defeated Alison Koopsen and Emily Zellner, 9-7, at #1 doubles, while Nicole Berger and Molly Basha picked up an 8-1 win over Marie Cameron and Arcelia Gomez in the #2 doubles slot. Allison Halbert and Jenna O'Dell defeated Jenna Killips and Natalie Pallett, 8-4 at #3 doubles.

Basha beat Cameron, 6-2, 6-2 in #1 singles play and Salek wo, 6-1, 6-0 over Koopsen. Pallett defeated Berger, 6-0, 6-2, for the lone Laker win of the match.
