The 34th-ranked Laker women's tennis team continued its hot streak with a 9-0 shutout of #37 Indianapolis. GVSU improves to 25-5 on the season with the win, and have now won nine matches in a row. The Lakers will conclude regular season play this Saturday with a match against Calvin. The match is currently scheduled for 12:00 pm start at Gainey Park in Grand Rapids. Should the weather be poor, the match will be moved to the MVP Sportsplex in Grand Rapids, and will still have a 12:00 start.

The Lakers made quick work of the Greyhounds in singles play. Jenna Killips defeated Lindsey Fischer by a 6-1, 4-6, 10-4 decision. The remaining Lakers were victorious in straight sets. Audrey Koopsen held down the No. 2 singles position with a 6-3, 6-2 victory while Chelsea Johnston won in the third slot, 6-2, 6-1. Katelyn Grashorn had no trouble in the No. 4 singles slot, recording a 6-4, 6-3 win, while Darylann Trout earned a 6-0, 6-4 victory in No. 5 singles. Jackie Shipman picked up the remaining singles win for GVSU by a 6-1, 6-3 count.

Grand Valley won all three doubles decisions on its way to securing the 9-0 victory. Killips and Emily Zellner teamed up for an 8-6 victory, while Koopsen and Jaime Oppenlander earned an 8-1 victory in No. 2 doubles. The tandem of Johnston and Trout finished off the Greyhounds with a 9-7 win.
