The Grand Valley State women's tennis team validated its upset win over Drury on Saturday with a 9-0 shutout of Rockhurst on Sunday. GVSU improves to 24-5 on the season. The Lakers will wrap up their three-day trip tomorrow as they will take on host Indianapolis at 4:00 pm.

GVSU had no problem in singles play, recording all six victories in straight sets. Jenna Killips picked up a 6-3, 6-0 win in the No. 1 slot. In No. 2 and No. 3 singles, Audrey Koopsen and Chelsea Johnston recorded identical 6-4, 6-3 wins. Katelyn Grashorn had no problem in the No. 4 singles position with a 6-1, 6-2 victory, while Darylann Trout won easily, 6-1, 6-1 in No. 5 singles. The last win went to Jaime Oppenlander, as she picked up a 6-2, 6-0 victory.

The Lakers were challenged slightly in doubles play, but prevailed to take all three matches from the Hawks. Killips teamed up with Emily Zellner to record an 8-6 win. Koopsen and Oppenlander earned a 9-7 victory, and the tandem of Johnston and Trout put together an 8-4 win.
