Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley State's Women's Tennis team claimed a 5-4 victory against Lake Superior State and fell 2-7 against Wayne State over the weekend. The Lakers will now travel to Indianapolis, Ind. on Friday, March 31 to take on Indianapolis, Drury, and Southern Indiana over the weekend.

Alison Koopsen started things out with a 7-6, 7-5 victory and was followed by a Lindsay Grimmer 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 win. Emily Zellner (6-1, 6-0) and Audrey Koopsen (6-2, 6-0) picked up dominating wins in their singles matches as well. The duo of Lindsay Grimmer and Audrey Koopsen teamed up to win GVSU's lone doubles match 8-4.

Koopsen picked up the Lakers lone singles competition win beating Wayne State's Collete Cabot 6-1, 6-1. Jenna Killips and Stefanie Prociv picked up the Lakers doubles competition win by a 8-3 margin.
