Grand Valley State won its first match of their spring trip, 7-2, over Sacred Heart College. The Lakers are in Hilton Head, South Carolina for the week.
Nikki Fairchild picked up her first win of the spring at #2 singles, 6-3, 6-2 and also teamed up with Laura Sukup for a 8-5 victory at #1 doubles. Alison Koopsen had no problem with her matchup at #3 singles, winning 6-0, 6-0. Her and teammate Kim VanSprange picked up a win at #3 doubles, 9-8.
Grand Valley will play tomorrow against Belmont Abbey.
