Grand Valley State's women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to Hope College Tuesday. GVSU will travel to Ferris State on March 25 for a 1:00 p.m. start against the Bulldogs.
Nikki Fairchild and Alison Koopsen teammed up at #1 double to win 8-4, but both GVSU's #2 and #3 doubles teams fell. Marie Cameron and Aubrey Lerhmann dropped their match at #2 double, 8-4 and Zanobia Syed and Natalie Pallat fell 8-3 in the #3 doubles slot.
Cameron fell, 6-1, 1-6, 6-2 at #1 singles and Syed dropped a 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 decision at #4 singles. Pallet lost 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 at #5 singles and Lerhmann fell 6-3, 6-1 at #6 singles. The two wins for the Lakers on the singles side, came from Fairchild, who won 6-1, 6-4 at #2 singles, and Koopsen, who won 6-4, 6-0 at #3 singles.
