Holland, Mich. - The Grand Valley State women's tennis team captured a 6-3 victory over West Michigan rival Hope College. GVSU improves to 11-5 overall with the victory. Hope opened the match by claiming wins at #1 and #2 doubles, but the Lakers regrouped and won five of six singles matches to earn the win. Junior Alison Koopsen tallied an impressive 6-3, 6-1 victory at #1 singles. Freshmen Arcelia Gomez (#2), Jenna Killips (#3), Emily Zellner (#4) and senior Zanobia Syed (#6) each captured victories in singles action.
