Zanobia Syed

Zanobia Syed is beginning her first year as assistant coach for the Laker Women's Tennis team. Previously, she played for the Laker Tennis Team from 2001 to 2004, compiling a career singles record of 20-15 and a doubles record of 4-7.
Syed attended Glenbard North High School and played #1 singles for the varsity tennis team all four years. She earned All-Conference honors in 2000 and was team captain and MVP her senior year.
Syed is a fifth-year student studying Biomedical Science with a minor in Chemistry at Grand Valley State University and is an active member in the GVSU Student Senate.
Syed was born August 22, 1983 in her hometown Glendale Heights, IL. She is the daughter of Akhtar and Farzana Syed.
