Houston, Tex. - Grand Valley State turned in a solid final day at the 2009 NCAA DII Women's Swimming & Diving Championships and finished in ninth-place with a team total of 153.5 points. Drury claimed top honors with 618.5 points.

Freshman Lauren Dorsey earned All-America honors with a fourth-place finish in the 200 breaststroke (2:15.52). Freshman Toni Musto finished seventh (2:19.23) and earned All-America plaudits, while senior Jenna Thayer finished 13th in a time of 2:21.17 and added to her All-America honors at the Championships. Karen Verbrugge earned All-America honors with her seventh-place on the 3-meter board (371.70). GVSU's 400 freestyle relay team of Jenna Thayer, Allison Scholz, Melissa Falette and Katelyn Childers earned All-America honors with its 11th-place finish (3:28.39).

Carly Bush finished 18th in the morning prelims in the 1650 freestyle (17:37.35), while Katelyn Childers was 33rd in the 100 free (52.93) and Danielle Buglio was 32nd in the 200 backstroke (2:07.52).
