Ashland, Ohio - Grand Valley State scored 195 points on the third day of competition at the 2007 GLIAC Swimming & Diving Championships and remained in second place with championship total of 415 points. Wayne State leads the way with 488.5 points. The fourth and final day will begin with prelims on Saturday morning.

Jenna Thayer continued her strong swimming performances with a second-place finish and a B cut time of 58.21 in the 100 butterfly. EB Phillips finished 11th (1:01.63) in the 100 fly, while Nina Reynolds was 14th (1:02.09). Danielle Buglio met the B standard and finished third in the 100 backstroke with a time of 59.69. Allison Scholz finished sixth (1:02.13), Eli Frans 13th (1:02.41) and Liz Rogers 14th (1:02.73). The Lakers scored 36 points in the 100 back. Katie Lawrie turned in a stellar fifth-place swim in the tough 400 IM, touching the wall in 4:42.67.

Eli Leskovar claimed a fifth-place finish in the 200 free (1:57.52), followed by Melissa Faletti's seventh-place finish (1:59.43) and Cynthia Brown's 15th-place finish (2:03.12). Alison VanKampen met the B standard in the 100 breaststroke with a fifth-place finish and a fifth-place finish (1:07.40). Sam Stump claimed eighth in the 100 breast 1:08.30. GVSU finished the day with a fourth-place finish in the 800 free relay as Eli Leskovar, Sam Stump, Melissa Faletti and Jenna Thayer touched in 7:57.57.
