Marquette, Mich. - Grand Valley State won 9-of-12 events Saturday en route to a 154-64 victory Saturday in a GLIAC women's swimming and diving dual at Northern Michigan. GVSU will next be in action February 21-24 at the GLIAC Swimming & Diving Championships in Ashland, Ohio.
The Lakers started out in dominating fashion as they swam to 10 second victory in the 400 medley relay. Danielle Buglio, Alison VanKampen, Jenna Thayer and Allison Scholz touched in 4:07.60 to claim first place. Megan Hahler won the 1650 freestyle (18:37.45), while Kelli Anguilm finished second (18:50.51). Eli Liskovar and Melissa Faletti finished 1-2 in the 200 free. Leskovar touched in 2:01.51, followed by Fletti's finish in 2:04.51. GVSU swept the top three spots in the 50 freestyle. Allison Scholz (25.63), Sam Stump (26.27) and Amy Williams (26.34) scored 16 points with the sweep. Raelyn Prelewitz won both the 1-meter dive (245.70) and the 3-meter (250.28), while Jennifer Hillson was second on both the 1-meter (241.43) and 3-meter (226.43). Jenna Thayer won the 100 butterfly in a time of 1:00.22.
