Final Stats

The women's swimming and diving team fell to Wayne State University 146-97 despite a strong effort by the Lakers. Senior Raelyn Prelewitz swept the diving portion of the meet, winning the 1 meter dive (218.17 points) and the 3-meter dive (238.27). Senior Jennifer Hillson followed Prelewitz in the 3-meter dive, earning 213.00 points to finish second.

Sophomore Jenna Thayer won 100-yard butterfly finishing in 59.79. She went on to finish second in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:13.14.

Thayer joined sophomore Danielle Buglio, freshman Alison VanKampen and freshman Allison Scholz to place second in the 400-yard medley relay.

The women's 400-yard freestyle relay team of Allison Scholz, junior, EB Phillips, sophomore Eli Leskovar and freshman Melissa Faletti earned second place with a time of 3:46.44. Freshman Katie Lawrie, senior Kelli Anguilm, freshman Robyn Kobes and junior Amy Williams followed, earning third in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
 

 

Freshman Alison VanKampen won the 100-yard breastroke with a final time of 1:09.84. Allison Scholz recorded a second place finish in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.86. Freshman Sam Stump also recorded a second place finish in the 200-yard freestyle and another in the 100-yard freestyle.

Danielle Buglio and Katie Lawrie each added third place finishes; Buglio in the 100-yard backstroke and Lawrie in the 1000-yard freestyle.

The Lakers will travel to Calvin to compete Jan. 19 at 6:00 p.m.
