Senior third baseman Denise Ireton tallied a .545 batting average en route to a 3-1 record for Grand Valley State this weekend. She went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and a run-batted-in against Mercyhurst on Friday.

The following day she went 4-for-6 with four RBI and two runs scored in the Lakers doubleheader against Gannon. In GVSU's 3-2 win over Gannon, Ireton had a home run and a triple with three RBI. She currently leads GVSU with 20 RBI this season.

The Lakers are currently 22-14 overall and is in fourth place with a 6-4 conference record.
