Bay City, Mich. - Grand Valley State used a combined two-hit shutout from Kristin Jenner and Jennifer Mackson to win their second game of the GLIAC tournament 2-0 over Findlay on Friday in Bay City. Jenner started for the Lakers and posted four no-hit innings to earn the win, and Mackson closed the door for her NCAA DII leading ninth save of the year. Erin Ballinger led the offense with her first career home run. GVSU goes to 44-4 on the season and will next play in the winner's bracket championship game against the Wayne State/Ashland winner on Saturday at 11:00 am, two hours later than originally scheduled.

Jenner (16-1) cruised through four innings of work allowing only four walks, while striking out three. The Lakers earned a 1-0 lead in the third with a methodical run. Rachel Blain reached on a walk was moved to third by Lindsay Crawford and Ballinger, and scored on a single by Tara Marsh. Mackson entered in the fifth inning and struck out four in her three innings of work. Ballinger added the insurance run in the bottom of the fifth, and Findlay never threatened down the stretch.

GVSU is attempting to win its second GLIAC title in the last three years after claiming the championship in 2001. The Lakers are ranked #1 in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional and #6 in the NFCA Top 25.
