Grand Valley State falls to 2-3 on the season as it dropped a 2-0 decision to Lynn University in Ft. Myers, Fla. Sunday morning. The Lakers will play host school Florida Gulf Coast University at 5:00 p.m. Sunday.
Junior center fielder Tara Marsh recorded GVSU's lone hit of the game as she singled up the middle in the sixth inning. Lynn's Aimee Murch struck out 14 Lakers, while allowing just the one hit.
Sophomore Allison Crews suffered the loss as she pitched all seven innings, allowing eight hits, two runs, and walking one batter. Crews posted eight strikeouts in the game.
