The Lakers combined for 14 hits in a 17-0 victory over Regis College.

Grand Valley mercied Regis College, 17-0, in five innings Sunday. The Lakers recorded 14 total hits and improve their record to 5-1.

Freshman Kristin Jenner pitched three innings, allowing no hits and six strikouts en route to her first victory for GVSU. Nadira Saafir finished the final two innings, only allowing one hit and striking out five.

Angie Knapp went 3-for-4 with a RBI and two runs scored, while Kathryn Danak went 2-for-3 with two runs scored to lead the Lakers. Freshman Miranda Titler went 2-for-2 with two RBI and two runs scored. Kerri Jonas hit her third homerun of the season and finished the game with four RBI.

Grand Valley will resume play on Tuesday against Wingate University at 4 p.m. and will play Regis College again at 6:00 p.m.
