#20 GVSU Routs Northwood, Knocked Out of GLIAC Tournament by Ferris State

Lakers Topple NU 12-3 in Five Innings, Fall to Bulldogs 2-0

2012: Earned All-GLIAC Honorable Mention laurels, marking the third time she has done so (also in 2010 and 2009)...Named as an all-conference player all four seasons of her career, including a First Team honor in 2011...Also named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team...Hit .309 with 30 hits, seven doubles, and 15 RBI...Recorded eight multi-hit games (including a pair of three-hit efforts) and three multi-RBI games...Appeared in 36 games and started at catcher in 31 of those contests...Went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a run scored, and three RBI in 13-6 win over Wilmington (3/6)...Notched a double, scored three times, and drove in three runs in 24-0 win over Rochester (3/20)...Was 3-for-4 and scored a run in 4-0 win at Northwood (4/10)...Smacked a pair of doubles and scored once in 9-0 win at Urbana (3/18).

2011: Named to the Daktronics Midwest Region First Team, while also being selected to the All-GLIAC First Team as a utility player... Named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team...Finished with the team's best fielding percentage (.985) with only three errors in 198 total chances, and was fifth on the team in on-base percentage (.423)...Hit .367 with six doubles, two home runs, and 24 RBI, while owning a .477 slugging percentage...Recorded nine multi-hit contests and five multi-RBI games...Went 2-for-3 with a double and four RBI in an 11-3 victory over Northwood (4/7)...Smashed a grand slam in an 11-2 win over Wayne State (4/16)...Was 3-for-4 with two RBI in a 12-7 victory at Ohio Dominican (3/25)...Added 3-for-3 performances at Ferris State (4/23) and against Lewis (5/14) in the NCAA Midwest Regional 1 Tournament, with a double and two runs scored against the Flyers.

2010: Earned All-GLIAC Honorable Mention laurels for the second straight season...Named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team...Played in 41 games, while starting in 34 contests, mostly at catcher, but also seeing time as a designated hitter...Finished the year with a .361 batting average, which was third on the team and 13th in the GLIAC, while her .620 slugging percentage was second at GVSU and sixth-highest in the conference...Placed second on the team with 16 extra-base hits, including nine doubles, two triples, and five homers, all of which were second-most for the Lakers...Added 39 hits and 16 runs scored...Played terrific defensively, tallying just one error in 141 total chances for a team-high .993 fielding percentage...Totaled 12 multi-hit games and five multi-RBI contests...Notched a career-high four hits, going 4-for-4 with a homer, two runs and two RBI against Northwood (4/22)...Picked up a double, triple, run scored, and an RBI in season opener against Dominican (3/5)...Went 3-for-4 with a double and a run in a 10-1 win over Lake Superior State (4/1)...Totaled a 2-for-3 performance with a homerun, two runs, and two ribbies in a 10-2 victory over Lake Superior State (4/3).

2009: Named as an All-GLIAC Honorable Mention selection...Started all 49 games of her freshman season, primarily at catcher and designated hitter, while playing a handful of games at first base...Finished third on the team in hits (42), fourth in batting average (.284), fifth in doubles (five), sixth in RBI (13), and seventh in runs scored (15)...Tied for first on the team with nine sacrifice bunts...Recorded a base hit in 30 games, including 10 multi-hit games, while owning the team's longest hitting streak at 13 games (4/5-4/18)...Hit .400 (18-for-45) with three doubles and nine RBI during 13-game hitting streak...Went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI against Hillsdale (4/10), while also notching a 3-for-4 performance in a 6-2 win at Olivet (3/20)...Earlier in the doubleheader against Olivet, she went 2-for-3 with a double and a season-best two runs scored...Notched a 2-for-4 outing with two RBI in a 5-0 win at Tiffin (4/19).
