Junior forward Mirela Tutundzic and sophomore midfielder Shannon Carrier were named to the NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region First Team for their excellent play during the 2004 season. GVSU tallied a 15-5 overall record and earned its second consecutive trip to the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Regional Tournament.

Tutundzic led the Lakers for the third straight season with 21 goals and eight assists. She recorded 58 total shots and posted five game-winning goals. Carrier ranked second on the team with nine goals and led the Lakers with 12 assists. She posted 72 shots and a game-winning goal.
