Mirela Tutundzic Named Second Team NSCAA All-American
 

 
 
 

 
Sophomore Mirela Tutundzic was named a NSCAA Second Team All-American.
 
 

Sophomore forward Mirela Tutundzic (Wyoming, Mich.) was named a Second Team All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Grand Valley State is coming off their best season ever in school history (17-2-2). GVSU hosted the Great Lakes Regional Tournament, where they fell, 4-3, to Northern Kentucky in the championship game.

Tutundzic set both the single-season and career records for goals, assists, and total points this season. She tallied 22 goals, 14 assists, and 58 total points this past season. In only her second seaon as a Laker, Mirela has a career-record 39 goals, 17 assists, and 95 total points. She has also recorded 10 game-winning goals in her career, including six in the 2003 season.

Tutundzic also earned All-GLIAC First Team honors for the second consecutive season. As a freshman, she was named the 2002 GLIAC Player of the Year.
