Grand Valley State picked up a 4-0 win over Wisconsin-Parkside in their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance. The Lakers are now 17-1-2 overall. GVSU will face Northern Kentucky in the Great Lakes Regional Championship game on Sunday, Nov. 16 at 1:00 on the Laker Soccer Field.

With 29:27 left in the first half, sophomore Mirela Tutundzic scored the Lakers first goal on a Shannon Carrier assist to give GVSU a 1-0 lead at halftime. Mirela added a second goal, after the Rangers tallied an own goal, to give the Lakers a 3-0 lead. Jaci Lange recorded the final score on another Carrier assist.

The Lakers tallied 11 shots to the Rangers six. Senior goalie Melissa Henson tallied four saves in her recorded shutout. The shutout gives Henson 16 in her career, which is first on GVSU's all-time list.

Tutundzic recorded her 21st and 22nd goals of the season. She has now scored in 16 of the Lakers 20 games this year.
