#5 Grand Valley State and #12 Ashland went into two overtimes and had to settle the game with a 2-2 tie. The Lakers are now 14-1-2 overall and 4-0-2 in GLIAC action.

The Lakers struck early, as Jenny Swalec scored on a breakaway at the 9:59 mark. Ashland came back and scored at 17:51 to tie the game, 1-1, at the half. With 7:24 left in regualtion Swalec scored her second goal of the game on a Shannon Carrier assist. By the Eagles wouldn't give up as they tied the game again with :25 seconds left in regulation. The two teams coudn't scored again in either overtime.

The Eagles outshot GVSU, 46-9 and tallied 25 shots on goal and held the Lakers to just five. Melissa Henson led Grand Valley in goal tallying 23 saves.

GVSU will finish out the regular season at home against Ferris State on November 8 at 2:00 p.m.
