At the end of two overtimes, Grand Valley State and Mercyhurst College tied, 1-1, on Saturday. GVSU is now 13-1-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the GLIAC. The Lakers will host Gannon University for another GLIAC contest on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

The first half was dominated by defense as GVSU only took eights shots and held Mercyhurst to just one. Lisa Caseman scored for Mercyhurst at 61:57 to give MC the lead. Grand Valley rallied back and Erica Rose scored with under nine minutes left in the game to tie the score.

Neither team could score in the two 10 minute overtimes. GVSU tallied 29 total shots and nine shots on goal, and held Mercyhurst to just six shots and five shots on goal.

Melissa Henson tallied four saves for GVSU.
