Findlay, Ohio - Four different Grand Valley State players scored in the 6-0 win over Findlay on Friday (Oct. 16) evening. The #5 Lakers (13-0-2, 9-0-1 GLIAC) blanked the Oilers for their 10th shutout of the season. GVSU travels to Tiffin, Ohio on Sunday (Oct. 18) to face the Dragons of Tiffin at 12:00 p.m.

Junior forward Jaleen Dingledine started the scoring early when she recorded her sixth goal of the season at the 2:44 mark. Sophomore defender Megan Brown crossed it over to Dingledine, where she punched it in from five yards out. Freshman Kayla Addison gave the Lakers a 2-0 lead when she received a pass from senior midfielder Katie Johnson during the 29th minute. Johnson notched a goal of her own four minutes later when Erin Mruz found Erin Hilbert who crossed it over to Johnson, where she placed the ball through the back of the net, giving GVSU a 3-0 lead.

At 42:07, Addison recorded her second goal, while Hilbert notched her second assist of the match, giving the Lakers a 4-0 lead at halftime. Grand Valley State outshot the Oilers by an 11-1 margin during the first half.

During the second half the Lakers recorded their own goal at 53:16, 15 minutes later at 68:55 sophomore defender Kayla Klosterman scored her first goal of the year. Hilbert notched her third assist of the game when she connected with Klosterman, giving GVSU a 6-0 win.

The Lakers dominated offensively placing 19 shots on goal, to just two shots on goal by the Oilers. Goalie Chelsea Parise recorded two saves in the win and notched her seventh shutout victory. Grand Valley State improves its unbeaten streak to 55 regular season games and 35 unbeaten conference matches, dating back to the 2006 season.
