Box Score

Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley improved to 14-1 on the season and 5-0 in the GLIAC with a 4-1 road victory against Findlay. Senior Jaci Lange scored two goals right before the half to give the Lakers a 3-0 lead at the break. Senior Mirela Tutundzic added a goal and an assist. The Lakers finish the weekend at Ashland tomorrow (Oct. 16) at 1 PM.

Tutundzic opened up the scoring at the 21 minute mark beating the Oiler keeper. Lange added to the Laker lead with two goals in a span of just 2:38 right before the half. Tara Stacy and Andi Redmond each recorded an assist on Lange's goals. The Oilers were able to get on the board three minutes into the second half cutting the lead to two. The goal was just the third of the season that goalkeeper, Kristina Nasturzio, has allowed.

Freshman Katy Tafler scored her 19th goal of the season at the 61 minute mark to cap off the scoring for GVSU. Tafler is just four goals short of the school's single season record. Lange's two goals pushed her into a tie for seventh in career goals scored in Laker annals.

The Lakers 14-1 record is the best start in school history and look for their first victory against Ashland tomorrow in a key GLIAC contest.
