#4 Grand Valley State won its ninth straight game as they defeated Northwood, 4-0 on Sunday. The Lakers are now 12-1 overall and 3-0 in GLIAC play.

Katie Rozum scored the Lakers first goal on assists by Jennifer Swalec and Mirela Tutundzic. Tutundiz added her own goal on an Erin Spika assist to give the Lakers a 2-0 lead at the half. Rozum added her second goal of the day and third of the season on a pass from Jordan Stevenson at 49:39. Shannon Carrier scored Grand Valley's final goal on a Jenny Junga assist.

The Lakers tallied 24 shots, while holding Northwood to just three. GVSU recorded 15 shots on goal and the Timberwolves only took two. Melissa Henson recorded two saves in goal for the Lakers.

Grand Valley will play three home games this week. GVSU will host St. Joseph's on Oct. 15 at 2:30 p.m., Mercyhurst on Oct. 18 at 2:00 p.m., and Gannon on Oct. 19 at 2:00 p.m.
