Allendale, Mich. - Junior All-American Mirela Tutundzic recorded her second hat trick in three games as Grand Valley State claimed a 3-0 GLIAC victory Friday over Northern Michigan. GVSU evened its league record at 1-1 and improved to 9-3 on the year.

Tutundzic put GVSU on the board at the 12:04 mark of the opening half when she netted a corner kick from Jenny Swalec. Tutundzic then netted a pair of goals on assists from Shannon Carrier in the second half. GVSU tallied 24 total shots and 10 on goal. Northern Michigan was able to get just two total shots off, neither on goal.

GVSU will host Northwood Sunday (Oct. 10) at the GVSU Soccer Field. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
