Grand Valley State picked up its 10th win of the season as they defeated Lewis University, 4-1 Sunday. The Lakers are now 10-1 overall and 1-0 in GLIAC play. GVSU will travel to Northern Michigan on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 11:00 a.m. and Northwood on Sunday, Oct. 12 at 2:00 p.m.

The Lakers took 38 total shots and held the Flyers to just three. GVSU tallied 17 shots on goal, while Lewis only recorded two.

Rachel Bondy scored the Lakers first goal to give them a 1-0 halftime lead. Mirela Tutundzic added two unassisted goals to start off the second half. She leads the team with 12 goals on the season. Melissa Bauer scored Grand Valley's fourth goal on a Liz Aceto assist.

Melissa Henson started in goal and recorded the first half shutout. Erin Murphy allowed one goal and recorded a save.
