#7 Grand Valley State won its GLIAC opener, 3-0, over Saginaw Valley State. The Lakers improve to 9-1 overall. GVSU will host Great Lakes Regional foe Lewis University on Sunday, Oct. 5 at 3:00 p.m.

Shannon Carrier scored the Lakers first goal and Andi Redmond added another goal to give Grand Valley a 2-0 halftime lead. Jennifer Swalec added the third goal of the game on a Katie Rozum assist in the second half.

The Lakers tallied 21 total shots and held SVSU to just four.
