Grand Rapids, Mich. - Grand Valley State's Shannon Carrier tallied a pair of goals and notched an assist as the Lakers claimed a 3-0 victory over Aquinas College Wednesday afternoon in Grand Rapids. Grand Valley State improves to 6-2 overall.
Carrier put the Lakers on the board at the 8:49 mark of the first half with a goal that was assisted by Kristi Vandeberghe and Jaci Lange. Carrier added her second goal in the first half at the 11:22 mark when Mirela Tutundzic fed Shannon a nice pass. Erica Rose gave GVSU a 3-0 lead with a goal in the 57th minute of action. Carrier drew the assist and completed a three-point day.
Grand Valley State will return to action Saturday at 1 p.m. with a match at the GVSU Soccer Field versus West Virginia Wesleyan. GVSU will face Charleston Sunday at 1 p.m.
