The Grand Valley soccer team added it's sixth victory of the season with a score of 3-2 versus Aquinas College in the Laker's home opener.

GVSU's Mirela Tutundzic started the scoring early in the first half (9:20) to give Grand Valley a 1-0 lead in the game. Katie Rozum would later break a 1-1 tie to give the Lakers their second lead of the contest (24:32) midway through the first half. The Aquinas Saints would tie the game on two occasions, but never led in the game as Jenny Swalec broke free late in the match to notch the game-winning goal with 6:30 remaining.

The GVSU soccer team (6-1) will play next on Sept. 19 at Northern Kentucky before returning to Allendale on Sept. 23 to host St. Francis.
