Grand Valley State's women's soccer team improved to 3-1 after picking up a 1-0 win at Southern Illinois-Edwardsville. The Lakers will continue play on the road as they travel to Wisconsin Parkside on Friday, Sept. 10 at 3:30 p.m. and Lewis University on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 2:30 p.m.

Junior foward Mirela Tutundzic recorded her fourth goal and first game-winning goal of the season on a Jenny Swalec assist at the 15:46 mark of the first half. The goal marks the 43rd of Tutundzic's career.

The Lakers tallied just five shots, all shots on goal.

Sophomore Erin Murphy recorded the shutout, after tallying 12 saves.
