Grand Valley State's women's soccer team suffered its first loss on Friday in a 2-1 contest at Missouri-St. Louis. The Lakers drop to 2-1 overall and will play at Southern Illinois-Edwardsville on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

The Lakers led 1-0 at the half as junior Mirela Tutundzic scored her third goal of the season on an Erica Rose assist at the 36:48 mark. However, Missouri-St. Louis came back and added two goals in the second half to pick up the win.

Sophomore Erin Murphy allowed the two goals, while recording four saves. GVSU tallied 11 total shots and seven shots on goal, including three by sophomore Shannon Carrier.

Missouri-St. Louis recorded 15 total shots, including seven shots on goal.
