2010:National Soccer Coaches Association of American Women's NCAA Division II National Player of the Year...NSCAA First Team All-American...Daktronics First Team All-American...Most Outstanding Defensive Player of the NCAA Tournament...Daktronics First Team All-Midwest Region...GLIAC Defensive Player of the Year...All-GLIAC First Team...Part of Laker backline that did not allow a goal the entire home schedule and held opponents to five goals all season...Led a defense that set an NCAA record with 21 shutouts in a single season and did not allow a goal during postseason play...Recorded three assists on the year after playing in and starting 23 games and playing 1918 minutes, second most among non-goalies...Took 12 shots with seven landing on goal (.583 percentage). 2009: Daktronics Division II Midwest Region Second Team and NSCAA All-Midwest Third Team...Earned All-GLIAC First Team honors...Named to the NCAA all-tournament team and the tournament's Most Outstanding Defensive Player...Started in all 26 games for GVSU playing in 2197 minutes...Apart of a backline that only allowed 12 goals and recorded 16 shutouts...Took five shots, including three shots on goal.
2008: First Team All-GLIAC selection...Started all 23 games as a central defender as a sophomore...Recorded her one assist in a 5-2 win over St. Joseph's (Sept. 10).
2007: Appeared in 18 matches as a freshman and started in two of them...Scored one goal and added one assist for a total of three points...Recorded her first point as a Laker, an assist, against Findlay (Sept. 28)...Scored her first goal, a game winner, in the GLIAC Championship against Mercyhurst (Nov. 4)...Started in both the GLIAC Championship and the second round of the NCAA Tournament (Nov. 11).
High School: Played four years of varsity soccer at Portage Central High School under head coach Pat Norman...Won conference and district championships all four years...Also won regional championship her junior year...All-conference, all-district, all-region and all-state honorable mention during her junior year...All-conference, all-district and all-region both her sophomore and senior seasons...Also played volleyball and basketball.
Personal: Daughter of Robert and Sharon Wenglinski...Enjoys wakeboarding, snowboarding and reading.
