Scott Modisher comes back for his third season behind the bench as an assistant coach for Grand Valley State. Modisher helped to coach one of Division II's top goalkeepers, as Kristina Nasturzio ranked fifth in the nation with an .897 save percentage as a freshman and an .871 save percentage in her sophomore year.

Modisher has also been the varsity girls' soccer coach at Cedar Springs High School for the past ten years. Modisher started the program, claiming two district championships and reaching the finals once. He is also a two-time district coach of the year selection.

Before venturing into high school soccer, Modisher spent two years as the assistant women's soccer coach at his alma mater, Hope College. Modisher played three years of soccer at Hope, starting as a central defender.
