Scott Modisher comes back for his seventh season behind the bench as an assistant coach for Grand Valley State. Modisher helped coach one of Division II's top goalkeepers, as Kristina Nasturzio ranked fifth in the nation with a 0.23 goals against average in 2008 and fourth with a save percentage of .912 in 2008.
Modisher has also been the varsity girls' soccer coach at Cedar Springs High School for the past 12 years. Modisher started the program, claiming two district championships and reaching the finals once. He is also a two-time district coach of the year selection.
Before venturing into high school soccer, Modisher spent two years as the assistant women's soccer coach at his alma mater, Hope College. Modisher played three years of soccer at Hope, starting as a central defender.
