Grand Valley State will be playing and hosting the 2006 NCAA Division II Women's Golf National Championships this week. The Lakers earned the right to play for the title as they captured their second straight NCAA DII East Region title last week with a three round score of 964. GVSU is making its fifth appearances in six years in the National Championships. Last year, the Lakers recorded their highest finish in school history, placing second.
The tournament will be played at the Meadows Golf Course on GVSU's Allendale campus. It will be held from Wednesday, May 10 thru Saturday, May 13. One round of 18 holes will be played each day.
