Grand Valley State has been selected to compete in the 2007 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships. The East Region Championship will be held April 30 through May 2. The Lakers have won the East Region Championship the last two seasons.
The East Region will be held at the Katke Golf Course on the campus of Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Mich. The six teams and three individuals will play 54 holes of competition. The top two teams and the top two individuals not from one of those teams, will advance to the championships. The six teams that made the regional tournament are:
1. Drury
2. Ferris State
3. Grand Valley State
4. California (Pennsylvania)
5. Indianapolis
6. Northwood
The 2007 NCAA DII Women's Golf Championships will be held May 9-12 at Stonebrook Golf Club in Pensacola, Fla. and hosted by the University of West Florida. The Lakers have finished in the top five at the National Championships four out of the last five years.
