Ladies Weekend School (June 27-29)
Designed exclusively for women- the Ladies Golf Weekend will target the needs of the female golfer and provide a comfortable setting for the female golfer at all levels!
The goal of the weekend is to help you learn and/or improve your performance of the short game fundamentals: putting, chipping, and pitching. Also, instruction on the full-swing, course etiquette, and course management will be given.
The cost is $300, which includes: reception on Friday evening, lunch on Saturday, breakfast and lunch on Sunday, and a school gift.
Lodging information is available upon request. There are options on campus as well as local hotels.
Girl's Camp (July 6-10)
The Girl's Camp will be limited to 40 participants and as soon as we receive your deposit and registration form, you will receive more information on housing, directions, and things to bring. All campers will receive 24 hour supervision.
The goal of the Girl's Camp is to help improve your game of GOLF (Game Of Laughs and FUN). Topics addressed include: short game, long game, course management and etiquette, how to practice efficiently, and how to prepare for college golf.
The cost is $500 for a resident and $450 for a commuter (Deposit of $250 needs to be sent with registration, the remaining balance of $250 for residents and $200 for commuters is due January 15, 2003). Also included in the price: room and board and camp gift. The commuter fee includes all of the camp items except room and board.

Junior Golf Program (July 21-25)
Golf- Game Of Laughs and Fun! The focus of the Junior Golf Program is for the young people to have FUN while they learn about the great game of GOLF!
The Junior Golf Program will expose the young people to all of the aspects of the game of golf! The instructional days will consist of six stations and include: putting, chipping, pitching, full-swing, bunker, and the FUN station!
The Meadows Gold Course and Teaching Academy serve as a great venue to learn all of the areas of the game.
Cost is $125 and includes: T-shirt, golf instruction, and Family Scramble day for participants including: golf, cart, lunch, and awards.
Family Scramble
The Family Scramble will give you a chance to play with your son or daughter and see how much they have learned and improved. The alternate shot/scramble event will begin at 8:30 AM and consist of 9 holes or as many as we can get in by 11:30 AM. We will conclude will a luncheon and the program awards.
The cost is $30 and includes golf, cart, and lunch at The Meadows.
Program Instructors
Lori Stinson is in her fourth year of coaching the Lady Laker Golf Team. The team has made an impact at the NCAA National Championship finishing 5th in the 2002 (at the Meadows) and 6th in 2000. The Lakers captured the inaugural GLIAC Conference Championship in 2001 and finished runner-up in 2002. Coach Stinson received District Coach of the year honors in 2000 and GLIAC Coach of the Year in 2001.
Coach Stinson graduated from Indiana University and was part of two Big Ten Championship teams. She began her coaching career at Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana. During Coach Stinson's five-year tenure, Tri-State won the 1997 NAIA National Championship. She is also a PGA and LPGA member.
Suzanne Noblett enters her third year as an instructor for The Meadows Golf Club and Grand Valley. She is an LPGA member and enters her sixth year as an instructor at the United States Golf Academy and Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, Indiana. A native of Evansville, Indiana, Suzanne graduated from Western Kentucky University.
Suzanne qualified for the LPGA Mayflower Classic as an amateur and played professionally on the Central Florida Challenge, Sunshine and Futures Tours. Suzanne was a two time individual Indiana High School Champion in 1982 and 1984.
Facilities
The Meadows Gold Course located on the Campus of Grand Valley State will be the host facility for the Ladies Weekend, Girl's Golf Camp, and The Meadows Junior Golf Program. The Meadows is an 18 hole Championship Facility that has hosted the 1996, 1998, and 2002 NCAA Women's National Championship and the 2001 Men's National Championship.
Grand Valley is located 10 minutes west of Grand Rapids in Allendale, Michigan.
