Grand Valley State is in sixth place after day one of the Lenoir-Rhyne Myrtle Beach Invite with a score of 318. The Lakers are just seven strokes behind the leader West Florida. Play will conclude on Tuesday.

Junior Kate MacDonald is leading the Lakers as she shot a 76, which ties her for sixth place overall. Freshman Audra Walter is tied for 11th place after posting a 78. Seniors Kristi Vienneau and Laura Leatherman each recorded an 82, tying for 30th place. Senior Melissa Riegle fired an 84.
