Results

Grand Valley State women's golf team won the 2004 Radisson Riverfront Classic by a five-stroke margin over archrival Ferris State. The Lakers tallied a two-day total of 632 (318, 314).

Senior Melissa Sneller captured the individual title, shooting a 151 (77, 74). Junior Kristi Vienneau tied for seventh place, recording a 157 (79, 78), while senior Shannon Briggs finished with a 161 (80, 81), which tied for 13th place. Junior Melissa Riegle tied for 17th overall, tallying a 163 (82, 81) and junior Laura Leatherman tied for 25th with a 167 (86, 81). Sophomore Kate MacDonald rounded out the scoring for the Lakers with a 173 (87, 86).

Playing as individuals, sophomore Danielle Lambert tied for 25th with a score of 167 (82, 85). Junior Roxanne Saladin tallied a 38th place finish with a 172 (85, 87), while freshman Michelle Boogaard tied for 41st with a 174 (82, 92). Cindi Earle tied for 83rd with a 192 (100, 92).

Grand Valley compete in the Ball State Invite on Saturday, Sept. 11 and Sunday, Sept. 12 in Muncie, Ind.
