Results

Grand Valley State improved 18 strokes to record a come from behind victory at the Laker Fall Classic Tuesday afternoon. GVSU started the day 13-strokes behind, but shot an outstanding 305 today to record the four stroke victory.

The Lakers tallied a 323 on Monday, 305 on Tuesday for a two day winning score of 628. Drury University, who was tied for second with GVSU after round one, shot a 309 Tuesday to finish second with a 632. Ferris State finished third with a 634, after firing a second round 324.

Senior Kristi Vienneau tied for third place overall as she shot a 152 (79, 73). Senior Laura Leatherman (82, 77) and freshman Rachel McHenry (83, 76) both recorded a 159, tying them for ninth place. Freshman Audra Walter fired a 160 (81, 79), which tied her for 13th place and junior Kate MacDonald tied for 17th place after recording a 164 (81, 83).

Three Lakers played as individuals in the tournament. Senior Melissa Riegle shot a 164 (87, 77), tying her for 17th place, while Tracey Puckering tied for 21st place with a 165 (83, 82). Lauren Mack finished with a 184 (97, 87).

Grand Valley State will play in the St. Joseph's Tournament on Friday, Sept. 9.
