Grand Valley State finished second overall in the Ferris State Bulldog Fall Invitational recording a two-day score of 624. The Lakers tallied a 319 in round one and a 305 in round two. Host school Ferris State placed first with a 615 (309, 306).

Senior Kristi Vienneau finished first for the Lakers and third overall, shooting a two round score of 151 (77, 74). Senior Laura Leatherman tied for eighth place as she recorded an 80 and 75 (155), while junior Kate MacDonald posted a 160 (80, 80), tying for 15th place. Freshman Rachel McHenry finished 18th with a 161 (82, 79) and senior Melissa Riegle rounded out the scoring for the Lakers as she shot a 165 (88, 77).

Freshman Audra Walter won the individual title on a playoff hole as she played as an individual for Grand Valley. She posted a 149, shooting a 74 on day one and a 75 on day two. Tracey Puckering also played as an individual for the Lakers and tallied a 169 (89, 80).

GVSU will host the Laker Classic presented by the Sleep Inn at the Meadows Golf Course on Monday, Sept. 5 and Tuesday, Sept. 6.
