Results

Grand Valley State shot a 319 in the first round of the Ferris State Bulldog Invite. GVSU is in second place after day one, 10 strokes behind host school Ferris State. The invite will conclude on Sunday, Sept. 4 before returning home for the Laker Classic presented by the Sleep Inn on Sept. 5-6.

Senior Kristi Vienneau is leading the Lakers as she shot a 77, which ties her seventh place overall. Junior Kate MacDonald and senior Laura Leatherman both posted 80's, tying them for 11th place. Freshman Rachel McHenry tied for 24th in her debut as a Laker, shooting an 82, while senior Melissa Riegle rounded out the scoring for GVSU with an 88.

Freshman Audra Walter played as an individual and shot a 74 to tie for second place, while sophomore Tracy Puckering recorded an 89.
