Grand Valley State continued its success on the golf course as the women won their second tournament in four days. GVSU finished with a 17-stroke lead over Nebraska-Omaha to win the Laker Fall Classic Tuesday. The Lakers are coming off a three-stroke victory at the Ferris State Invite on Saturday-Sunday.
Melissa Sneller led the way for the Lakers, as she shot a two-day 151 and finished first as an individual. Teammate, Kristi Vienneau, finished second with a 155. Freshman Rachael Sinnen and Laura Leatherman tied for seventh place, after recording a 161.
Kate MacDonald and Shannon Briggs finished out the scoring for the Lakers, recording a 163 and 167 respectively. As an individual, Melissa Riegle shot a 164 and finished tied for 15th place.
The Lakers will play this Saturday-Sunday (Sept. 6-7) in Muncie, Indiana at Ball State University.
