Grand Valley State is in first place after round one of the Laker Fall Classic held at the Meadows Golf Course. The Lakers shot a 315 on day one and will play the second and final round on Tuesday.

GVSU was led by Melissa Sneller who leads the tournament after shooting a 75. Kristi Vienneau is tied for second place overall with a 76 on the first day. Rachael Sinnen and Laura Leatherman both shot an 82 and are tied for 13th place.

Rounding out the scoring for the Lakers, was Shannon Briggs finished the day with an 83, which ties her for 18th place and Kate MacDonald, who tallied an 87.
