Houston, Tx. - Grand Valley State University's women's golf team ended the season with a third-place finish at the NCAA National Championships in Houston, Tx. The Lakers shot a 303 on the final day to move into sole possession of third place. Caitlin Bennett led GVSU, finishing in sixth place overall with a four-day total of 299.

Bennett shot a 75 on the final day to put her in sixth place after the four day event. Ashley Smith finished in a tie for 11th place after shooting a 75 on the final day of competition to put her total score at 302. Tracey Puckering shot a 75 on Friday, as well, finishing the championships with a score of 309 and a 23rd place finish. Kristina Langton and Allie Tyler finished 31st and 32nd overall, respectively. Langton shot a 78 on the final day to put her total at 316, while Tyler's final day score of 81 put her at 318 overall.
