Women's Golf Tied For Fifth Place After Day Two of Championships

Results

Grand Valley State is tied for fifth place at the NCAA DII Women's Golf National Championships in Orlando, Florida. GVSU shot a 320 yesterday and recorded a 324 today, for a two-day score of 644. The four-day tournament will continue on Friday, May 14 and conclude on Saturday, May 15.

Rollins College is currently leading the championships with a two-day score of 606, while Ferris State is in second with 630. Florida Southern and Northeastern State are tied for third with a total of 635, while Western Washington is tied with GVSU at 644.

Junior Melissa Sneller is currently tied for 11th place as she tallied a 76 today. Yesterday she recorded a 79 and now has a total of 155. After shooting a 76 yesterday, Enid Gage recorded an 84 today for a 160 and is tied for 21st. Kristi tallied an 82 both days for a 164, while Melissa Riegle shot an 83, 82 for a 165. Shannon Briggs rounded out the scoring for GVSU tallying an 86, 88 for a 174.
