Results

Grand Valley State's women's golf team is in fourth place after day one of the NCAA DII Women's Golf National Championships in Orlando, Florida. This is the third time in the last four years the Lakers have played in the championships. The teams will tee off again on Thursday and complete the four-day tournament on Saturday.

GVSU shot a first day total of 320, 17-strokes behind leader Rollins College. Northeastern State is currently in second place with a total of 313, while Ferris State is in a close third place with 314.

Sophomore Enid Gage is tied for fifth place after shooting +4 on the day with a score of 76. Junior Melissa Sneller is tied for 15th place as she tallied a 79, while sophomore Kristi Vienneau tied for 29th after day one with an 82. Sophomore Melissa Riegle finished the day with an 83, tying for 33rd place, while junior Shannon Briggs rounded out the scoring for the Lakers with an 86.
