CALIFORNIA, Pa. - Grand Valley State shot a 918 (+54) in the NCAA East Regional, winning the event by 42 strokes and advancing to the NCAA National Meet in Findlay, Ohio from May 13-16. GVSU posted the top two scores in the event and held four of the top five overall.

Allie Tyler finished with the best score of the regional, a three-day total of 227 (+11). Kristina Langton finished second overall, just one stroke behind Tyler with a total score of 228 (+12). Ashley Smith finished in fourth place with a final score of 233 (+17), and Caitlin Bennett was one stroke behind her in fifth place at 234 (+18). Sarah Hoffman was the final competitor for the Lakers, finishing in a tie for 16th place with a score of 243 (+27).

The Lakers were +18 on the final day of competition, 13 strokes ahead of the closest competitor. GVSU combined for 19 birdies over the course of competition. Ferris State and Indianapolis rounded out the top three teams.
