Big Rapids, Mich. - Grand Valley State shot a two-round total of 644 on the first day of the NCAA DII Great Lakes Women's Golf Regional at Katke Golf Course on the campus of Ferris State University Tuesday. The two-day tournament will conclude Wednesday with the final 18 holes. The top two finishers advance to the NCAA DII Women's Golf National Championships in Orlando, Florida. Ferris State leads the event with a two-round total of 638, while Northern Kentucky is third at 651.

Enid Gage led GVSU with an opending day 156, which placed her tied for third. Kristi Vienneau is tied for fifth with a 158, while Melissa Sneller is tied for 12th at 165. Shannon Briggs and Melissa Riegle are tied for 14th at 166.
