Results

Grand Valley State won its second straight NCAA Division II East Regional on Tuesday at the Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio. The Lakers tallied a three round score of 964, nine shots ahead of second place Ferris State (973). GVSU advances to the NCAA Division II National Championships hosted by Grand Valley State University at the Meadows Golf Course on May 10-13.

Senior Kristi Vienneau finished first for the Lakers and third overall, tallying a three round score of 235 (78, 77, 80). Senior Laura Leatherman fired a 241 (76, 79, 86) for a seventh place finish, while junior Kate MacDonald tied for eighth with a 244 (79, 81, 84). Senior Enid Gage shot a 247 (86, 80, 81) for 14th place and sophomore Tracey Puckering tallied a 253 (84, 80, 89).

Grand Valley State is making its fifth trip in six years to the NCAA Division II National Championships. Last year, the Lakers recorded their highest finish in school history, finishing second.
